HG in the News - Wash Times Does Good

Post by CraginS »

The big article is here! Steve Kinsely is an authority. Sunny Venesky, Jim Rooney, John Middleton all get named as instructors. Lisa Tate is quoted. (She missed the deer.)
ALL local schools and clubs are identified with details.
Lots of photos. Carlos Weill gets one and half fingers in the paper! Photog concentrates on cute kids and attractive women tandem customers.

This is pretty darn good coverage. Congrats to the Highland crew for the feature and all who took part.

Carlos should have smiled better for the photog.

Yeah--great article, especially the commentaries by Steve--and I really appreciate John's perspective on training hills added for balance.

That's the best article i've read by someone who doesn't hang glide. Too bad the Washington times just doesn't get as wide circulation as the post. It's also a shame that the reporter didn't go up himself...at least judging from the article.

Kind of embarrassing having the reporter say I was one of the most experienced pilots in the region - maybe in number of countries flown in, but sheesh. Hey, Cragin, what's that about Lisa missing the deer?

Yeah, Christy, I skimmed through that paragraph too quickly on the first pass. Went back later and saw my error. Been waiting a week for someone to call me on it.
