I normally don't do this, but I'm thinking about taking off work this Friday to fly. Any other takers?

Alex,
Great photos! I always seem to get my best soaring PG flights when pimping off talented guests.
Another first for me: answering the phone while sitting in my easy chair at 1600 AGL. Joe had called to invite us all over for beer. Took me awhile to decide to answer it (if the phone squirted out of my gloved hand, it would be the second cell phone I had lost in as many weeks) and extricate the phone from my pocket. Then I had to wedge it inside my helmet - trying first on the left side, where I already had a radio earpiece, then switching to the right ear. Joe was laughing "well, I hear the vario beeping and the wind noise, so I get the picture".
The 2 hour plus flight was all the sweeter because we PGers had feared we would be skunked while we helped the HGs launch and watched them sky out. Tom repaired to his vehicle and went on the clock at work via his wireless connection, then returned at 5:30 or so and pronounced it flyable. Laszlo, Charlie, Alex and I followed quickly. John Middleton had come biwingually equipped, but went with the HG. Had to use speed bar to get down at the end - you could float forever, it seemed. - Hugh
