Cross post from PG: Tom C., Juanito, Laszlo, Stephane, Jeff Eggers, Carl and I (plus Carl's lady friend/driver) shifted from Woodstock, which was NOT working, to Dickie's. A day-hiking couple stayed to watch. It was almost dead, but with launchable cycles. Tom and Juan got up for longish flights, Laszlo and Jeff scratched for a good while mostly below launch. This was a personal first for me at Dickie's. After one abort, then a good clean launch, I only got an extendo as the lift seemed to die for everyone, but it was fun making a couple of passes over Skyline Drive with all the weekend motorcycle and car traffic slowing to gawk. Executed a perfect face plant on landing. After we all packed up and walked out to the road through the sheep ranch, an off-duty sheriff who used to fly ultralites took us all the way back to our vehicles in his pickup. Happy Father's Day!

Didn't notice one. There was a sort of antiphonal call-and-response thing going on with the sheep and maybe a ram (?) Llamas don't make any noise but maybe hissing if provoked? - Hugh

Caeser would let out some foghorn related noise if you got too close. he had a topknot of black hair that draped over his eyes...you'd see a long haughty neck deployed above the sheep with this black woolly patch tracking you like a periscope. I was only there once, but he made an impression on me.

Yup, I heard something weird but didn't get an ID. Can't wait to fly there when it's really working. Juanito flew over to the picnic grounds where his whole extended family was set up. He yelled and screamed; they didn't notice him... - Hugh
