Contributions for Harry Carbaugh's funeral

Emma Jane was billed $4300 in funeral expenses for Harry which she did not have (this is in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses associated with his final illness). Several individuals have made generous contributions directly. CHGPA is sending $500 from club funds. The club treasurer is willing to handle individual contributions for this purpose; this may make it easier to claim the donation for a tax deduction. (No editorializing, please - taking a deduction does not reduce the benefit to the Carbaughs.) If you wish to use this service, send a check to Dave Bodner payable to CHGPA with "Carbaugh funeral expenses" in the notes line. The club will ensure the Carbaughs know who contributed how much unless you wish that information to be suppressed. Spending time visiting with Emma Jane is important to her also... - Hugh
