Joe Gregor update

Post by Batman »

Joe had surgery last night to repair is arm and shoulder. I spoke to Joe & Janet at the hospital today and the Dr's outlook is good for full recovery. According to Janet, Joe should have full mobility in his arm/wrist in about 3 months, but his shoulder will have some mobility loss in one exercise regime. They put roughly 8 permanent pins in Joe's shoulder which will make it interesting going thru security at airports for the rest of his life! :D Unfortunately, after reviewing the surgery, Joes doctor decided that one of the screws was too long and might interfere with an artery or nerve ending on down the line so they are going back in for surgery this afternoon to remove/replace the affected screw. He must stay until 48 hours past most recent surgery so he is expected to be released either Wednesday afternoon or Thurday morning as long as there are no other complications.
