Training Hill Friday 13th?

Still interested for Saturday? Possible small window for WNW. I've never been out there so I don't know if that would even be that great for Smithsburg. So, if anyone's going to any training hills in the next month or so, please let me know. I'd love to tag along with someone and get some refresher time in. :)

Well, after further review of the weather, It appeared
as the winds were ramping-up.....So, I cancelled....

Tim H, Called me as I was checking the winds and
they were ! howling through the valley....

Any reports from those of you, who went out ?
Were the winds as strong as I thought ?

This coming week doesn't look too bad. hoping to
get a little time on the hill before it closes for the
season..... I'm glad to see others interested in
flyin there also...

'Til then, Mike 8)

Didn't make it out either. Window looked too small as of late last night. Maybe next weekend.

Md school-o-HG was out to an early start, with new and returning students. Winds were mainly WNW and some NW, 0-5 or so. Returning H2 George had a fine time on his Eagle, I flew my F3 195 for the very first time--Fantastic!! Raj is progressing up the hill nicely, and even the new students caught air for the first time. Great day, but short, 9:30-2pm. Much fun, topped off with a field trip to HR. :D

Way to go Rusty. Let's go flying together when I get back from Florida.
