Ridgely Saturday???

Post by Matthew »

Hmmm. Rain forecast has been pushed back to Sat night for Eastern Shore. Bay forecast is for light winds now on Saturday. Perhaps a Ridgely day after all. Perhaps.

Maybe Butman will even show up.

Umm....thats Batman. Don't make me flog you!

And I'm definately in for flying tomorrow. Will monitor weather and make judgement call in the morning. Matthew, call me if you are going (My phone number is (703) 889-0894. It would be easier if the Roster was updated more than 2 or 3 times a decade)

Be careful--this advancing storm system--which will be hammering us down here tomorow--is pretty impressive. They're already talkin severe thunderstorm and tornadoes down SE way. The low pressures associated with these systems are unusually intense and more like something you'd see during hurricane season.

Maybe I'm not seeing the same forecast, but it looks like it will be raining by early to mid-afternoon. What forecast are you looking at Matthew?

Ok, I'm packed. Wine is gone & I'm heading to bed. Will check weather in the morning. Ridgely bound if it looks flyable and I can have some company. Dreaming of Thermals!

I'm packed except for putting the glider on the Jeep. Looks like cloud cover is starting to move in and the radar picture looks like the rain might be here earlier than expected. Anyone else planning on chancing Ridgely or are we calling it a rain-out?

10:10 and I'm heading to Ridgely. Got off the phone with Bruce and he says they are flying and have 20 tandems to do today. Will be OC most of the afternoon, but rain is supposed to hold off until late afternoon. Heading out for the sleds / back-in-the-saddle flights with the new wing. Come join me!
