Friday Flying

Post by Dan T »

Anyone intersting in Flying Friday? Ridgely or High Rock perhaps? Fairly light nw winds. I could get the day off if I plan ahead and it looks like it could be a good one.

I'm planning on heading to Ridgely for both Friday and Saturday if it's still looking good for Friday when I get up tomorrow.

If the weather holds, I'm planning on leaving the Kite Festival between Noon & 1:00 and heading to Ridgely to get some airtime on my new beauty!

Went to Ridgely as planned and flew with the new Matrix harness. The first 3 pattern tow landings were fine - the wind was blowing at least 8 mph. Rich was filming the first landing and told me he didn't think it was me landing since it was a perfect landing. Sigh. The last 2 landings were truly crappy - the wind was less than 5. Arrgghhh. LitespeedS not too happy with me on those last two. Still working on getting the harness to let me go more upright.

Rich's taxi (Sport 2 with the yellow/black Maryland flag configuration) was taking rides. He's loving life and I think I might be able to talk him into going to the mountains again.
