Bill's Clean up Day

Post by pink_albatross »

Hi,

as the flight director one of my tasks is to schedule clean up days.

We need to schedule it soon, because if we wait much longer, the wasps will be active and come out of their little holes to attack unsuspecting cleaner uppers.

What do you all think about the 16th of April? John M. will you be able to be there with the club brushhog/mower?

We will also need two chainsaws, almost as many lopers as we have people, water (to drink) and as many of those heavy duty weed trimmers - or whatever they are called - as we can get. They are awfully convenient. Bruce Engen has one of those. It has a blade at the bottom instead of a string. Cuts through weed stalks like butter.

Please let me know who can come and what you can bring. H2s and soon to be H2s: Bill's Hill may very well be where you'll have the first mountain flight. So, show up and make it launcheable. Everybody: if we show up in large numbers and early in the day, nobody will have to work more than a few hours and we'll all still have time to fly in the afternoon. So, bring your buddy. Remember the Pulpit and Fisher's are just around the corner if it is not Bill-able.

So, I propose the 16th of April (Saturday)

Please come!

I'll mark my calendar for the April 16 clean up. I can bring a chain saw.

I plan on showing. Maybe I'll find the key I left behind last year.

OK, so why was it a post from Ellis that got Mike to think of providing that link?
