Weather Links Site Transition

I’m looking for a CHGPA member who would like to take over my Hang Gliding Weather links site at https://sites.google.com/site/hgweather/ As I am not flying now, and will be leaving the DC area this spring, this is a good time to turn it over to an active local pilot. If you are interested, all you ...

Free to a good home. I'm spring cleaning, and have full sets of USHGA / USHPA Hang Gliding magazines, bound by year for 1995 through 2006 (but missing 2004 - no idea why) to dispose of. I'm also posting the availability on the Blue Sky group for Steve or park denizens to claim Delivery will be all o...

I'll miss Emma Jane. Friendliest kitchen table I've ever sat at. Truly sorry I missed the news until Monday night - I would like to have been at the service. I recall how hard hit she was when she lost Harry. But that was small compared to the deep depression following Randy's death. I prayed for he...

Valerie was a special lady. Dan T. and I first met her when she was in her initial training with John at Taylor Farm many years ago. We took her to dinner at the inn on the river and regaled her with how great it would be when she made it to high flying in the mountains. Valerie was definitely looki...

Region 9 Election 2017

Region 9 USHPA Board Election is Nov 1 - Dec 15, 2017.
The only declared candidate is Larry Dennis, PG pilot in SW Virginia, Skywhackers member.

Is any CHGPA member running as a write-in?
Past history indicates a strong showing from one large chapter (ours) can elect a board member.

Fun day Saturday, with nice easy truck launch to 900' and pleasant sled in smooth air. But, I mushed in to land and bought some aluminum, darn it. My glider flew more than I, with Joe G. and John M. each taking two truck tows on it after I flew, re-engaging their decades-old truck launch skills. Fam...
