Re: HOGBACK VIOLATIONS- DISCLOSURE
Ward: what real (as opposed to past potential) damage did the Hogback 4 do to our flying and site access? There is damage to club cohesiveness, but one can reasonably argue that that is not their fault. For forum discussion: please keep in mind that at least half of the CHGPA members do not engage i...

Re: HOGBACK VIOLATIONS- DISCLOSURE
“…they thumbed their nose at the CHGPA BOD…” Inflated: They refused to apologize. “However, we also have the fact that several of these pilots then tried to deceive the authorities” Inflated: one refused to acknowledge guilt. (something that you are supposed to do until you speak with your lawyer. A...

Re: HOGBACK VIOLATIONS- DISCLOSURE
Am curious about RichH latest allegations. Probably unsubstantiated or inflated again. Agree with everything that Hugh and Dan T. have posted. I would like to point out that the Hogback 2 have been quite an asset to our community: they have observed many new pilots, they have provided mentorship to ...

Re: HOGBACK VIOLATIONS- DISCLOSURE
I do not feel that the Hogback guys owe us any apology. They have squared it with the National Park service (at great personal expense), they served their penance, their actions have not resulted in any harm to our flying community. (Credit should also be given to the Park service for recognizing an...

Re: theflyingdude’s Rejection Letter!
The management of the "pg yahoo group" encourages every member to participate on the chgpa forum. Membership is restricted to pilots with a minimum of a p2 rating and who regularly fly our sites. I.e. No beginners, no guests, no fly once and never show up agains. The reason was primarily f...

Re: Bill's Hll Weekend
the capitol hill cemetery is using goats to clear the brush this week (until August 17). There was a story in the post: http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2013-08-07/politics/41143947_1_goats-capitol-hill-burial-areas. They used EcoGoats (http://www.eco-goats.com/) based in Davidssonville, Maryland....

Re: USFS / CHGPA Edith's Gap Project - pledges
$250k for an Edith's Gap LZ? That parcel is HUGE! It won't take much logging to create a huge HG LZ. Also, it looks as if the lot is not sloping steeply. Very nice. Quick turn-around to launch. Spitting distance to launch. Great potential for new pilots! And it has a club house on it! And if we can ...

Re: mobile phone coverage
Sprint works will in the Front Royal area. I had virgin mobile which runs on the sprint network. That, however, did not work. I don't know if it is the lack of roaming capability, but my phone would drop calls so frequently that it didn't make any sense to even make the call in the first place. I he...

I think it needs a new battery. Battery doesn't charge all the way anymore. Charger is included.
I have another radio which works perfectly, so I have no interest in buying a new battery for this one.
Radio is free if anybody wants it.

Did Ed say anything about the color/make of car? Does he remember anything about the driver? When did this happen?
