Re: Pulpit Saturday January 20th
I miss this!!! You guys are awesome: you post flight reports, stay close and friendly, and get out and fly! I'm now up in cold Canada, escape some in the winters some places to fly, but don't get the airtime I've gotten used to on the East Coast (and then in Utah). I hope to be visiting over there s...

Re: Highland Aerosports 2016 Season News
Now this really sucks! I know I'm gone from the area, but going there for the ECC remains a highlight for me. Cease operations? That's just unacceptable! Being a tow pilot seems like such fun, I wonder why such shortage?
I really hope an answer is found, and soon.
Best,
Felix.

2014, a flying year review
Hello all, I put together a video from this year's flying - what a spectacular year it was! I got a bit melancholic going through footage from our awesome East Coast sites, looking forward to flying there again sometime soon. Meanwhile if any of you should find yourselves around Utah, let me know! A...

Re: Leaving the area
I got to the SLC area on Thursday night and I've been in amazement ever since. Flying 2 sites a day, gorgeous places and very friendly people. I think I'm gonna like it here

Inversion table
So I saw Mitch Shipley use an inversion table at a comp. Got on it and I was sold. This thing is amazing after a long day of flying. I bought one April of this year and now for the move I just couldn't fit it in. I bought the best there is, the Teeter HangUps EP-560. It's $299 new and this one is li...

Re: Leaving the area
Went by Highland today for a last flight and to pick up my new wing together with the sweet pull on sun cover (thanks to Jim Rooney, glider cover extraordinaire). I also got my H4 card today  8) Had a 30 min. flight in light conditions then packed it all up and said good bye to some great peo...

Re: Leaving the area
I'll be going to Highland this morning until this afternoonn for a last flight there until I return (perhaps next year's ECC). Gotta pick up my Combat and it's new cover, then more packing time and I'll be off either Sunday evening or Monday morning. Looks like a great day today, hope to see some of...

Re: Leaving the area
Thanks guys, as I said you're welcome to visit! I don't know about a huge house with a pool but I'll have some place you can crash :) I went to pick up a trailer for the move today and since it was somewhat close to Highland I went by and flew my already setup Combat (waiting for the completion of t...

Leaving the area
Hi all, Some of you already know but I thought I'd write up a little post; I'll be leaving the area this month, heading to Utah, Salt Lake City for now - which may become my permanent residence. It was a great honor being part of our hang gliding community with its great pilots and people! Hang glid...

Re: Saturday's Outlook
So, this past weekend (not only Saturday) was spectacular - to say the least! I went out Sat. morning with hopes of test flying the new Combat (I was just crazy curious, not looking for a new wing). I took 3 flights on it through the morning and early afternoon - it was so sweet that Adam and Sunny ...

Re: Judy-Judy Memorial Fun Fly is GO!
No offense taken. It would take a lot of nasty writing to my address to get my feelings hurt... The reason I posted is that I've seen technique comments go the wrong way too often on forums and so it would be best if they were left alone.
Again, just my opinion on the matter, feel free to disagree

Re: Launch VIdeo Re: Judy-Judy Memorial Fun Fly is GO!
Felix! At 2:20....careful of popping that nose on launch! We'd like to keep you around a little longer. I appreciate the concern and not that I need to defend anything but I did not pop the nose. I held the wing nose way down to begin with (notice the bar almost hitting my legs) and let it ...

Re: Judy-Judy Memorial Fun Fly is GO!
Great day to be out! I waited the winds out all day and watch the others fly, finally gave it a go around 6:30 PM - still a bit rowdy, not my idea of fun flying but still, I got 45 minutes and got to actually fly at a fly in = success. It was nice to see so many people out, got to meet several I've ...

THANK YOU to all at Highland Aerosports! These guys deserve all the support we can show them. The comp was a terrific event, I'm happy to have been there. Some great flying was had every day of the comp, I couldn't ask for more. I learned so much this week it would be hard to quantify. I stayed over...

Re: East Coast Championship 2014
Day 4 for the ECC was for me one of the most spectacular flights ever - I flew with the leading gaggle inside and out of the start circle and a 3'rd of the way to goal, then went towards the Sport class goal following gaggles of hawks and black vultures. As I made it in at goal I hooked yet another ...

Re: East Coast Championship 2014
Looking forward to lots of sweet XC flying this coming week! I'll be working through Saturday evening so I'll only be at Highland on Sunday. I'm interested in a ride for the comp but I need to stay with the Sport class, rides shared between the Open-Sport class isn't the best idea...I'm sure there w...
