Kev, I agree about subtle nuances but I was taking into consideration that this was not an extreemely experienced pilot (no offense intended Linda). marc, There's many factors that comprise the entire situation. Yes, the final responsibility is the pilot's, always. If a particular pilot had not had ...

Re: Sat at Highland
Who would sell you a glider and not make sure it was properly set up for you? Having a hang point too far back could be a SERIOUS issue for a less experienced pilot. Was this an out of town purchase? I'm glad you found & fixed the problem.

HOW THE SOUTH EXPRESSES ITS POLITICS!
THIS IS HOW THE SOUTH EXPRESSES ITS POLITICS!!!! (Presumably written by Pamela Foster) WHAT'S ALL THE FUSS? "Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, most...

With halloween coming up, you might try going as a HG pilot, suited up in your harness. Just think, PLENTY of pockets to stuff candy in. And don't forget to take some business cards in trade for the candy you get. Rance PS: And for Kevin(who has so much energy), you could even tote your HG (in its b...

I think Hugh would blow the charts away since he still can't figure out how to not quote everything he replies to. <grin> ...

I know its a little late ans possibly a little boring but here's an update to Friday flying. Got there later than I'd like to (given the good conditions), about 2p. I knew Sat/Sun would be overcast so wanted to get in another flight before Tennessee. After watching Scott take two truck tows before m...

Re: New Preamble to the Constitution
Brian, If you know Rance, you know he's nearly incapable of being nasty, though perhaps we all slip at times. Thanks for the kind words but if you only knew how ugly I have been at times. The toung is sharper than a two edged sword and I've done my share of inappropriate slashing. Yes, we do trust o...

Joe, > ...you obviously accept the entirely negative stereo type terms for people you call liberals. You make a LOT of assumptions about me (and maybe others) that you have no idea about (see below). And Yes, if you want to talk about groups, I think the 'Liberals' have gone overboard in a lot of ar...

New Preamble to the Constitution
Against my better judgment, I'm posting this here for at least some to enjoy. After reading this again, it becomes painfully clear the similarities between ARTICLE XI and the USHGA Name Change proponents. Don't bother creating something you want, just take someone else's and rip it to shreads and ma...

Broad-Winged Hawk migration
Here is a re-post from last year in case some of you are interested in this sort of thing. Someone should probably e-mail the Hawks to maybe have them make a fly-by at one of the flying sites we use. :) Rance ----------------------------------- From: "avnav8r" <johnstokes@h...> Date: Wed S...

Glad you guys had fun, wish I could have been there. I'm recovering from some back pain and now I have some ear problems. Next time...
