Smurfsky paid via PayPal a month or two ago but still hasn't picked up the vario. Haven't heard from him in a while. Anyone know if he's ok?

Re: My next sport I hope, Kite Boarding
I quit HG and took up kiteboarding this past year. There's a sizable group in the DC/Baltimore area and some ok sites on the Chesapeake and of course out at Dewey/Lewes or down in OBX. Before I took lessons, I bought a 4m fixed bridle trainer kite and flew that for a while, even learned to water bod...

Re: Edith's Saturday -- Pounding In
So glad your crash wasn't worse! Sounds like it was a close thing and you got rung pretty hard. Be on the lookout tonight for concussion/head injury symptoms just to sure.
I can't imagine how hard it must be. Ditto on what Mark said.

Thinking about it. Looks like a bit of gust factor in the 20s (mph) on Noaa.gov. Will decide in the am.

Re: Flying options for Sun13Sept
The morning at Woodstock was worrisome, with swirly slot conditions, rain showers, and lulls. Large number of PG and HG pilots came out. Eventually it cleared off by early afternoon but the slot was still very swirly. HG pilots began launching around 2pm or so, with everyone having to wait a while f...

Friday, 7/30 Pulpit or Woodstock
Weekend looks SW to me but Friday looks NW. I know Walt is interested in flying the mountains tomorrow (Friday). I'm most likely available as well. Any other takers? Looks like either Pulpit or Woodstock could work.

Re: Wed (3/18/2015) @ Woodstock
Great to get back in the air! Good to see everyone again. Lots of happy pilots. For me it was the first mountain flight on my new Falcon 4 and first mountain flight at all in about a year! Got to christen my new glider with some nice mud on the leading edge from the bridge field due to a wan...
