I've updated my version of the site guide with the comments about Long Hill. (Edith's Gap is gone... I removed it before doing the electronic version. Daniel's still does not have directions, but other sites that have them in the paper version still have directions in the electronic version.) I also...

(In order to protect our sites, please do not circulate the guide to anyone who is not a member!!).... Now,...

I'd also be interested in a ride if anyone is offering... I live 100 feet from the Takoma Park Metro and am planning to just Metro over and back tonight... but a ride would be great.

many thanks,

Jeff

Wed or Thurs training/de-rusting day? (3/21 or 22)

After watching the flying at Woodstock on Sunday, I'm even more interested in getting in a few flights at a training hill to get the rust off my flying skills. Anyone interested in a de-rusting day on Wed or Thursday this week? I'm open to suggestions for place and time. (Would you also be willing t...

Happy to help drive and haul

As Hugh said, I'm happy to help out tomorrow... (unless someone is heading to a training site where I can get some rust off, then I'd love to tag along for that).

Hope to meet some of you tomorrow.

flying tomorrow (Saturday)?

I'm the new guy in town and trying to figure it all out... I'd be interested in meeting and going to a site on Saturday if anyone is going. Someone told me Smithsburg might be good this weekend and also a friendly site (I probably should do a lengthy pre-flight of my glider to make sure nothing happ...

Thanks everyone, for the replies.

Dave O, if I could store in your garage until I can figure it all out, that would be great. Thank you. I'm moving to Takoma Park, doesn't look too terribly far to Brookeville. How can I connect with you?

peace,

Jeff

pilot new to area - hang glider storage options?

Sorry to make my first post a bit off topic. I'm a H3 moving to DC at the start of February from the San Francisco Bay area. Unfortunately, the new place we're moving (near the Takoma Metro station) doesn't have a good storage spot for my glider (a WW Spectrum). I'd really appreciate any advice on h...
