Re: Woodstock 5/10
I was glad to be back at Woodstock and ready to try my approach there again after a considerable amount of time away from the site. After much waiting, but with great company, the time was finally right. (Thanks Matthew!) I enjoyed the nice buoyant air that everyone else has already spoken about. Tr...

Re: Pulpit secondary
Thanks for posting this Shawn. For someone who hasn't flown this site yet (me), it's nice to be along for the ride, especially on your approach.

Re: Tug Pilot at Blue Sky Sat. Aug. 2nd
Peter,
That was an awesome flight you had!! Can't wait to get to that point to do the same. I got to truck tow for the first time later in the evening... around 7ish. I had three nice, smooth tows to about 900-1000. I really like this truck towing!

Re: Woodstock Sunday 6/1
Thanks ya'll for the advice and support. I'm looking forward to my trip down to Blue Sky this weekend to check the glider in to the hospital. I also plan to take advantage of whatever towing method Steve Wendt recommends to help my approaches. The downtime I'll have is the perfect opportunity to wor...

Re: Woodstock Sunday 6/1
Thanks for posting the video and the pics Mark and Craigin!! I wish my landing would have been as good as my launch, but I learned a little bit about Woodstock... I'm going to check out scooter towing to work on my altitude/angle judgements to improve my approaches. Thanks Tom for throwing me off an...

If Woodstock's doable, and there's a contingent going... and if I can line up an observer, I'll be there on Sunday. Kathy

Re: HYNER!!
Wow oh wow what a blast at Hyner this weekend. I showed up Saturday morning just in time to set up for a sled ride. I had a nice flight in, but could have skipped the slipping turn into final and made a coordinated turn instead. By afternoon, things were looking favorable for Kennedy. I had not been...

Re: Landing Clinic... take 2
Great. Regarding what type of landings I had in mind... I'd say the flare timing clinic is up my ally. Not sure what you were thinking for the "footlandings", but in reality, any type of landing clinic would surely help me as I have consistency issues... I wanted to make sure that if...

Re: Landing Clinic... take 2
Jim,
Very interested. Do you have a general time window? You mentioned there will be various clinics which I'm assuming for different skills...can you advise if there will be additional clinics focusing on landings? Thanks. Kathy C.

Re: Bills 4/27 PM
Great day at Bill's. A bunch of people showed up, but I'm likely to forget a name or two (4 of us H2s! I think that's the most H2's I've seen out in a while).... But, thanks to Shawn and Matthew for throwing me off and to Mark G. and Dave for carting me back up to launch. I had a nice sled and then ...

Keeping H2s
As a relatively newer H2 with little airtime, there has been one thing that has really helped me since I moved to this area...having an observor that was willing to be "my observor" for as long as I needed him (sorry Shawn..gotta out you  ). This helped me relax a little and not stres...

Hyner
I arrived Saturday morning and had a nice sled ride in the evening. Then another on Sunday and Monday to really focus on my launch, approach and landing skills. I left Monday afternoon and I think some folks were still on top waiting for better conditions. I really had a blast there. It was nice to ...
