Re: Old Moyes Litesport for parts
I just figured our Highland closed. It was an awesome place. Thank You Sunny and Adam for all the memories and experiences. Sorry I did not get a chance to say a proper thank you at the time.

Old Moyes Litesport for parts
Time to move my old (2003?) litesport out of the garage. The Aluminum still good, would crossbars, etc be useful to anyone for parts? It would seem too sad to take to the dump. Perhaps a shop like highland? Would be a good excuse to come out and see the old pilots. I am not looking for any money for...

Old Moyes Litesport fo parts
I need to get rid of my old Moyes Litesport (~2003?) good only for parts. Good crossbars and down tubes, etc. Perhaps a shop like Highland? Would be a good excuse to come out and see some folks.

I am thinking Sunday, 20Oct, as well. Watch weather for best site. Pulpit or Highland if winds are light are my best guesses.

Re: Ridgley July 6
I put down in Bethesda Delaware as I have yet to enter the Dover airspace into my new 6030, and I had not coordinated a retrieve to boot.
Thank You to Ward for picking me up.
All other pilots stayed local, fighting the winds aloft that I followed with abandon.

Janni;
Good to hear from you! Wish you had better stories of the Alps or something. My flying has been spotty, but purely my fault with getting 3 kids. Our summer solitice at Woodstock riding the wave over the clouds is still one of my favorite and vivid flying memories.

Walt; kudos for posting. Glad you were OK. It looks like you have gotten a lot of good feedback on angle of attack, wings level on what on camera looks and sounds from the conversations a difficult launch day. I was not at the site, and it is hard to see from the camera angle and position what the r...

Re: Hang Glider Rack Pads
My pads are archery target foam with a homemade cloth sleeve.
The first set wore out after about 3? years due to UV.
The second set is 10? years old and going strong (The cloth is looking a little UV'd).

Yeah, yeah, Sac is N facing, not S. That is what I get for trying to think too late at night. There is another thread for Daniels it is best to switch to now.

I am thinking it best to let the front pass and let the rain do its thing first, then fly in PM. Show up 1:30 or 2PM.

Re: Sat Oct 6
I will keep an eye on the weather and posts for woodstock. I was thinking by heading east you can fly pre-frontal rather than waiting through the rain, hence I had not dwelled on Woodstock.
Thanks for the tip about Highland being closed Saturday.
