Re: Hook-in Failure discussion

This procedure evolved while practicing in high winds on flat ground. I would stand ahead of the cross bar and control the glider w/ the nose wires and wait for a lull. I needed unobstructed vision to insure quick and proper connection, or disconnection if necessary (the gate facing rearward makes r...

Re: Hook-in Failure discussion

If you've gotten to this point in the thread apparently you'll read anything, consider this; After sending my kite down the hill @ Oregon ridge alone I figured I needed a string around my nuts to remind me not to do it again. My kids are happy I came up with a better plan. As part of my pre-flight I...

Can we get some of you guys in-the-know to elaborate & simplify some of this stuff for us. There are some chickens in the young hang 3 coop that are getting a bit nervous over the current meteorlogical debate. You guys are being followed by at least one dumb bird. I'm embarrassed to be an H3 for...

I like to use most of the speed my Falcon has and staying prone til ground effect @ 4-5 feet. I also like manly wheels, although in some situations they act like brakes. By the way, I weaklinked your mamma last night.

Better late than never? 73 tandems to solo, 5 years to XC, 3 days to post, sorry. Except for this post it was all worth the wait! The day could not have been any more perfect. (maybe landing in a hOOters parking lot w/ hot food waiting) D.B.'s save was encouraging so I launched a few minutes after, ...
