Re: B. Hussein Obama is TOAST

Are you kidding...Palin is the reason that McCain even has a chance to win the election. She helps with fiscal conservatives, social conservatives, younger voters, women (obviously), but especially working moms and soccer/basketball/hockey moms and jockettes across the country. Conservatives have be...

Re: economic/political football

I would recommend no bailout for Freddie or Fannie....close both of them down and sell off their assets while jailing the thieves who perpetrated this attempted heist of taxpayer money...namely Raines, Gorelick, Dodd, Frank, Maxine Waters, etc.. As for the mortgage companies who made $350,000 loans ...

Re: Party of Christian Values?

Hi Paul, The fact is that neither you, nor I, know who took your yard sign. For you to "assume" it was a "McCain Christian" who stole it only reveals your ignorance and bigotry towards Christians and towards McCain followers (btw, many Christians do not support McCain, and vice v...

Re: Party of Christian Values?

I am certain that an avid Barak Hussein Obama disciple was so desirous of having an Obama sign in his frontyard, that he decided to "convert" your sign to his yard. It wasn't stolen, just converted.

B. Hussein Obama is TOAST

You heard it here first.....Barak Hussein Obama is TOAST. With the brilliant selection of Sarah Palin, John McCain has galvanized and energized the GOP base, which will dramatically contribute towards another GOP Presidential victory this November. Obama is simply an EMPTY SUIT that can read off of ...

Re: Northwing Illusion (basic double surface glider) for sale

Hi Erik, Can you let me know if the rear flying wires are 47 inches or more behind the hand straps where they each attach to the keel. If they are less than 47" in distance apart, then the keel can easily be cut for use with a motor harness. If the distance is more than 47" (or even 48&quo...

550 Tons of Uranium in Iraq

I guess Joe Wilson was right.....Saddam only had a mere pittance of 550 metric TONS of Uranium/yellowcake in Iraq, now being shipped to Canada. Probably there just to make what?........jewelry....ornaments for Saddam's mansions? I am just so tired of GWB lying about all those WMD's in Iraq. Ma...

Sail Repairman?

Hi folks, On one of my not-so-perfect landing, I ended up tearing the sail on my HG. I emailed Steve down at Blue Sky, but he's got "at least" a one month backup. Does anyone know of a sail repair person in the Baltimore/Washington area that can repair a tear in a HG wing? The wing is a Fa...

Re: Kite Festival

If the CHGPA can obtain authorization, or a waiver from the authorities, my offer to actually fly the Bat-Glider around the Mall still stands. I think the crowd would enjoy seeing the Bat-Glider actually do some flying, instead of lying around just looking cool. Does anyone have a "Robin" ...

Re: Time to say farewell to hang gliding (atleast for now)

Hey Steve, I was in your exact same situation about 10 years ago....wanting to fly, but conflicted by time away from my family and all of their activities. Rather than quiting hang gliding completely, I made what I thought was a reasonable compromise....a Mosquito Motor Harness. This allows me to sp...

I am writing to Santa, and since I have been a very, very nice boy this year, I am going to ask him for a new GPS unit. Hey Dan,
I would feel comfortable flying below 30 to 40 ft AGL if you can obtain permission to do so, of course for demonstration purposes only.
Even flying at 10 ft AGL is possible, but it doesn't leave ya much room for error, turning, or maneuvering.

Hey,
Do you think they would actually let us fly (or perform crowd demonstrations) our HG's with the Mosquito motor harness around Dulles airspace???
Someone had previously mentioned bringing a Mosquito to this event.
Let me know if it might be feasible to FLY at this event. thanks.
