Looking for an O2 System

I am looking for an O2 system (Tank, tubes, regulator, cannula, etc.). I can't imagine why anyone would really need one on the east coast, but if you have a functional system that you might want to lend or sell, let me know. I am planning to fly in CO and an O2 system is SOP 'round those parts...

Re: White out

If we want to start the discussion with the decent rate variable, lets take a quick look at some numbers. Cloud suck in the center of a developing cell, UP 1000'/min., 1500'/min., or 2000'/min. (*most variable) T-2 at 46 mph, DOWN at 490'/min. T-2 at 50 mph in spiral dive, DOWN +/- 800'/min. T-2 und...

Re: White out

I do my very best to avoid this kind of situation, so I have limited experience in the "white-out" environment. Think; only brief (seconds) encounters in my personal experiences. Does it seem that he would have been able to avoid the cloud earlier in the video? Why did he deploy? The trail...

Re: Daniels slot, can anyone get in contact with Roger

Dan, if you need some help with determining the proper boundary, to avoid encroachment, I can help out.
I think that the last I saw of Roger's contact information was in the CHGPA site guide.
Nelson Lewis or Rich Lawrence can probably help you with this contact information as well.

You are right about the multitude of gliders that are subjected to the same system, and I can clearly see that one size probably doesn't fit all. The snap shackle system I built never failed, and never had to be fixed or repaired during the time that I used it. The hardware is designed to release wi...

here is some raw statistics: I am about 215, loaded up harness 40 and fly a glider that weighs 85, 340 pounds total. I use the same weak link material as every body else, towing off of the shoulders with a weak link on both sides, equaling four starnds. I break a weak link about once every two years...

Wind Farm Approval

http://scc.virginia.gov/news/101hw.pdf I do not believe that this site will have any big effect on the existing flying sites in Virginia. However, if you are inclined to read this report, I think you will be amazed at how the opposition to this project was summarily ignored. The approval requires th...

In a time where USHGA is reporting lower numbers, foot launch sites are increasingly in jeopardy, and flight parks simplifying learning, you guys open a new site...
