Re: Thursday October 8

Was nice seeing you guys in the air! I was in the orange falcon

I took off about 4 PM, good lift up to (estimate) 5k or so (only had an audio vario).

Landed around 5:45 in the bridge field after doing the milk run up to Strasburg.

Who had the isuzu trooper parked at launch?

Nova Mentor 4 Light - S (80-100 KG) only 3750 grams - EN B

GREAT wing, excellent for cross country. Packs very small. I'm all up at about 98 kg - works well for me at the upper end of the wing loading. https://www.nova.eu/en/gliders/previous-gliders/mentor-4-light/ * Size Small (80-100 KG) * comes with Nova backpack (way better than ozone) * non-speedbrake ...

man, can you already drive? That is fantastic! It will be a pleasure to see you.

yeah! i've got full muscular control, range of motion, whole nine yards, just limited on weight bearing right now because of the possibility of bending the screws or whatever

Re: Woodstock/SAC March 3rd/March 4th

Looking good for once. To the N/NW snow/rain showers are forecast. Seen this pattern before. Made the mistake of going to the SAC and dodging snow showers back around April 2002 when Adam Arkfeld got to CB at 7K` MSL and flew to Lake Anna from Woodstock. Not gonna make that mistake again. However i...

Re: Woodstock, Monday May 15

I did not have the balls to go low over the southern part of the ridge! My goal was similar to wards, but didn't fly fast enough given how late I launched and I think I was overly conservative on the gap crossings. For example at the Edinburgh gap I wanted at least 5k and a downwind glide to push to...
