Bacil and Bari,
Congrats on your impressive flights. Bari for over three hours, and even though he stayed in the area, got a 72 mile total track.
Bacil got to over 8,000 ft. Well done guys!

Re: Ward's Service
Arleen and Ward's son's presentations at the church were wrenching and yet inspiring. There was so much love in the family and they were grateful that they had shared it for a long time. I enjoyed seeing and chatting with many long-time pilots and friends again; unfortunately under sad circumstances.

Hi Jim,
Congrats on your epic flight from the Sac! In the 89 miles you covered, it looks like you briefly crossed the Susquehanna, but from the track perspective it's hard to tell. Very impressive!!
Looking forward to driving for you and some of Charlie's pilots in June.

Re: Pulpit Monday April 5th
When most hang gliding pilots I have known for years stop flying they just “fade away,” and don’t appear at launch sites again. Only after months and sometimes years do other pilots notice their absence and finally realize they have stopped flying. After making good friends and enjoying many happy h...

Bacil, Sorry to hear about Brad's passing. He and Krista always laid out the welcome mat for pilots, both during the Silent Air Show and at any other time when we showed up. Congrats on belonging to that small number of pilots who were able to land at the winery during the show (and you times two). ...

Re: Accident Report 1/1/19
Bacil, Thanks for the detailed and insightful accident report. Reminds me of my entry into the trees just left of launch a few years ago. I had started my launch with the right wing lifted and went between two trees at low speed about eight feet above the ground. Luckily I was uninjured and the glid...

I believe a long-term lease or landing rights to be in the best interests of the club. However, if we have no other option than a purchase, I am good for up to $30,000.

Local Pilots almost Sweep the Boards at Midwest Comp
Local pilots John Simon and Greg Sessa achieved spectacular successes. John took first place among the world’s top pilots, beating out the likes of Zac Majors, 5th place, and Jonny Durand, 10th. This was a stunning upset for Jonny, who is currently the world’s number one ranked pilot, and a spectacu...

Cragin's Useful Links
Cragin has posted useful weather links as well as one for renewal of your HAM license for free. A few weeks ago I received a renewal solicitation from American Radio Relay League (ARRL), for a $49 fee to join the organization for one year. HAM license renewal could then be completed by using form 60...

Greg, Congratulations on your epic 100 miler, winning the day, and your excellent description of the flight and the rugged terrain you flew over. Despite getting only a few points on the day you had to land due to no lift, your 4th place finish overall was quite an accomplishment. Larry Bunner also ...

Well done Matt! That was quite an accomplishment. Other pilots, including the hangies, missed a great day - "You don't know for sure what it's going to do 'till you get there." On Oct 17th, 2004 I had a somewhat similar flight, when it was strong west cross and a blue day. Arriving at abou...

Knut, Kudos on the masterfully executed and edited video of your December 15 Woodstock flight. Thanks for the morale booster on this cold winter...

Woodstock Flying and "no-land" Field.
Arrived around noon and set up. Around 1:30 pm Walt Melo and Randy Weber arrived, followed by Steve Kinsley, and later John ? (from California who posted the neat video). Much later after I had launched, several PG pilots arrived to take advantage of a nice evening glass off. I waited around to obse...
