Great to see the photos and we're sorry we couldn't make it but we decided it was a bit much with a 6 week old and a toddler.

Highland Challenge 2015
Charlie Allen is running the Highland Challenge weekend hang gliding competition again this year at Highland Aerosports. The competition runs over 4 weekends from June - August. It's a great intro for those new to competitions and for experienced pilots alike. Full details are on the website at http...

Re: Saturday -> April 18, 2015
Hi,
Considering either Highland or going to one of the mountain sites on Sat. Not flown either Pulpit or High Rock before, so will seek guidance from those who know the sites. Do I need to do anything about waivers in advance or are they available at the sites?

Re: (Thu or Fri ) @ Woodstock
I've got the day off tomorrow and may come out if it looks on. Have been to Woodstock once but haven't been to High Rock or Pulpit, so not not familiar with the conditions they need. Although the GFS and NAM are suggesting light winds tomorrow Accuweather is talking about up to 20mph on the surface ...

Re: Highland Monday 21st?
Turned out to be a great day. The inversion rose to 3500ft and climbs of up to 500ft/min were to be had. 4 out and everyone soared.

Highland Monday 21st?
Anyone planning on Highland for Monday? I'm thinking about it. XC Skies forecasts modest thermal strength and height, but it should be light winds and sunny.

Re: Calvert cliffs Sunday
Sounds interesting and I may com along if it's on. Have you got any more details of the site as I can't find It in the sites guide (location, access, launch, landing, how long the cliffs are etc.)
Thanks,
Bruce

Re: Woodstock afternoon 3/22
So I finally got round to flying an American hill site for the first time since I arrived here just over a year ago and what a great day at Woodstock. Good conditions on launch and smooth lift at up to 500ft/min to 6000ft. What more could you ask for after a bit of a lay off. Big thanks to Jon for e...

Re: Woodstock afternoon 3/22
If it looks like a reasonable chance of flying I'd be up for it. Having not been there before I'd need to tag along with others, so grateful if you could keep me posted.

Great, keep me posted on your plans. What's required for the Shenandoah sites so I get that set up in advance for future visits.

Hang Gliding this weekend
Hi, I'm new to the club - joined last year but never got round to flying anywhere except Highland. Looking for advice on the hang gliding options for this weekend. Also I understand several of the sites require signed waivers. Do they need to be completed in advance or can they be done on the day? C...

Where to go hang gliding July 7th?
Any suggestions on where to go hang gliding tomorrow - particularly for XC potential. Looks like it will be a good day and better in the hills that out at Ridgely, but I don't know the hill sites round here yet. Still considering Ridgely as an option too.
Cheers,
Bruce

I'm on the forum now. Thanks for the intro Kev (I'm blushing!) and for the welcome from the rest of you. I'm thinking of heading to Highland tomorrow.
