Re: Introduction flaille

Bienvenue Olivier, Is your current rating with FFVL or do you have an IPPI rating? If you have an IPPI rating you should be able to fly with coordination of a site observer no problem. please see this excerpt from the USHPA website: 12-03.02 Operation by Foreign Pilots Holding IPPI Ratings Foreign p...

Re: Visiting P2 from Colorado

I am available to fly Friday or Saturday and am watching the message boards and weather to see if a quorum with some P2 observers form up somewhere. would be happy to dog pile onto wherever visiting Scott ends up. Am also aware of the dangers of being blown over the back...

Re: A Couple of Rants About Woodstock

Hi all, I agree this is a good thread. I have seen other people post their mistakes/mishaps and generally the comments and observations help the person who had the mishap and maybe prevented others from making the same mistake. One interesting point I would like to make is that several pieces of adv...

Great advice Matt. Since I was blown over yesterday, that advice may be directed toward me more than others on this forum. I certainly didn't go looking for more lift over the ridge, but I think I did have opportunities to squeak my way toward the LZ early in my flight and I didn't recognize the sit...

Re: P2 looking to fly at a training hill on Sunday

Chris, I also need some practice hill time! I like Mark's suggestion of Kirschner's, but would like to try for Saturday morning and then head over to the Pulpit afterwards. would that work for you? Where do you need a pick up? I would be coming from Baltimore/Annapolis area, so NOVA/DC is pretty far...

Re: Sunday @ Bill's Hill

If anyone is heading out today, please let me know, I would be happy to come along. I am relatively new to the area and a low-hour P2, so would ideally like to have a P2 observer around.
