Woodstock & Edith's Gap Launch
I cut the high grass on both launches yesterday. Edith's gap has a lot of ground vines, briars, thorny bushes and some trees below the trimmed area that should be eliminated. If you don't get off the ground before the high brush you won't get far and you glider will be on all the thorny bushes. Wood...

Woodstock LZ : Irate landowner, old primary
Would one of our techie talented folks post an aerial map on our club web site depicting the two current approved landing fields, (The bridge field and the PG field in front or launch) in green and also Show the old Woodstock LZ shaded in red with a comment DO not land there? We apparently had some ...

Re: The Bridge field and Farm sale
My personal belief at the moment is that the Bridge field purchase is within our ability to raise funds for purchase in a short time frame. Once Pangle Auction folks post their sale information we might have a better idea of the value of the property.

I meant to post this comment on this forum along with the same post on the facebook page yesterday. Re: Woodstock LZ and farm may be for sale
I believe you are correct about the land owner thought he could get the easement change/dropped. The raparian easement along the rivers edge may not be in the 70.452 acres you mentioned. The current deed held by Mr Parsons states 95.4 acres.

Re: The Bridge field and Farm sale
Yes John, I believe the fields on both sides of the road to launch by are going for sale by auction. I am going to try to confirm that today. The property also includes one of the houses near the dam.

Re: Woodstock LZ and farm may be for sale

Re: Woodstock LZ and farm may be for sale
I spoke with Patrick Terry/ CHGPA President this morning and learned more. There was a breakfast meeting, Saturday Sept. 15 among the Woodstock Town Staff ( person in charge of Easements and or Head of tourism) and the land owner. I believe all of the hang gliding and paragliding community needs to ...
