Howdy folks
As well as getting more airtime in one week than all of last year, I came back from the Green Swamp Sport Klassic at Quest with a new (to me) U2-145.
I still have my Sport2-155 (the blue/red one with the Texas flag on the undersurface - the U2 is mainly white, with thin orange and yellow spanwise stripes on the undersurface, so rather less distinctive than what I've been used to!).
I now want to transition to the U2 as my main glider.
Specifically, ahead of going to the Wisconsin aerotow meet in early June, I want to get aero-towing and flying practice in on the U2.
I spoke with Steve Wendt at Blue Sky but he told me he doesn't expect to have his tug up for a while longer still (aileron repair still to complete), and even when it is back up, he's not expecting it'll be operating more than a few days (probably = one weekend) a month...
So i'm on the look out for other aerotow options.
Everything else i know about is just too far from me (Pax River in southern MD) for a day or even a weekend trip to work out (e.g. Ellenville, Kitty Hawk, Lookout) - I'd just spend all my time driving. Unfortunately, between now and June, the odd weekday (maybe) and weekends are all i have to play with.
I've just heard that Buffalo Ridge Airsports, based near Charlottesville (only 3.6 hrs from me!) do aerotowing and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them, good/bad/indifferent, first or secondhand...I'd never heard of them until today so i have no idea what they're like.
Also, if anyone has any other suggestions of aerotow options that aren't the best part of a day's drive away from Pax River, i'd be very grateful for suggestions.
Thanks
Richard (Milla)
Anyone know anything about HG aerotowing at Buffalo Ridge Airsports in VA?

Richard,
Congrats with new wing, Wills Wing U2-145. That is great news!
You are right. If you want to fly alot, Florida seems to be the place during spring. Going down this week for Quest Air, Reopen, (week 2). Was suppose to go on Friday, but had to wait...
Have been watching Quest Air comp first week and daily on airtribute, and they had a fantastic week, flying every day. John Simon did fly fantastic and looks like he won Open class. Are they flying today?
Weather wise, Midwest might be, according to Davis, more challenging weatherwise, but hoping for "Good Luck Weather", during MidWest comp in June.
Talked to a local guy from Charlottesville, way back. He should know about local aerotowing. Great news! Got to find his info, or anybody knows?
