Sunday funday at Daniels

Post by mingram »

It's still gonna be humid but looks like the wind direction will be fairly south. Jim and I are meeting up in Manassas at 9:30. Who will join?

Yeah I was considering it, but it looks a little light.

On a side note, did you all know you can type "Daniel's Mountain Stanardsville VA" into google maps and it will take you right to the site? Pretty neat. Just found that out.

Not epic, even though the sky looked great. We had nice cycles, but it was hard to stick. Tom & Krista launched first at 12:30 i think and flew 12k and then Tom had a second flight around 3pm and flew 24k. Top of lift was 4k. lt got more stable through the day even though clouds were still working. A few forward launches in light cycles at 5-5:30. New pilots Rod and Joe also joined, but didn't get to fly. Ended the night at the Culpepper Cattle Co. for good BBQ.
